Leah is the Managing Director of Cisco’s Public Sector Consulting Services, and an Internet of Everything / Smart+Connected City strategist. As mobile, social, data and cloud computing converge at an unprecedented pace, Lewis focuses on assisting leaders with rapid adoption of smart technologies, how to light up “dark assets” and glean data from those assets to accelerate decision making, improving livability, workability and sustainability of cities.

Her dynamic and engaging style, combined with her passion for efficient government and the role people play in driving technology to create a better world, have made her a popular speaker and thought leader worldwide.

Prior to joining Cisco, Leah was the CIO of the State of Colorado under Governor Ritter. In addition, she has held the positions of CTO and Enterprise Architect for large complex organizations. Her experiences include: the United Nations, the US Department of Defense, and over 30 different state and local governments. She is an American who grew up in Switzerland where she became passionate about languages, mountaineering and fine food. She enjoys skiing, hiking and traveling with her husband and 2 sons.
